API ceilings are tiered by product
HubSpot's product catalogue lists 250,000 API calls per day for Free and Starter products, 650,000 for Professional and 1,000,000 for Enterprise, with up to 3,000,000 only after purchasing two API Limit Increases.
Typical Annual Cost
$15,000 - $120,000+ / year
Derived from HubSpot published Sales Hub and Enterprise tier pricing at 25-250 seats, plus typical onboarding fees. Verify at hubspot.com/pricing. Collected July 2026.
High (HubSpot data model lock-in, CMS Hub proprietary themes)
A secure, serverless Next.js and Postgres database deployment designed to bypass the licensing tax of HubSpot CRM & Ops Hub — with 100% code ownership at handover.
In short: ERPStack provides a custom, license-free alternative to HubSpot CRM & Ops Hub. You get 100% data and IP ownership, zero seat-based fees, and a dedicated cloud deployment delivered in weeks.

HubSpot is priced per hub and per contact, and the ceilings are published: 250,000 API calls a day on Free and Starter, 650,000 on Professional, 1,000,000 on Enterprise, and $500 a month for each API Limit Increase pack beyond that. Custom objects allow 9 defined associations each. A custom CRM on Next.js, React, TypeScript and PostgreSQL has one relational schema, no hub multiplier and no per-contact pricing — you pay for AWS hosting and for the engineering that shaped it.
Two things, and one of them is rare. HubSpot's marketing tooling — email, forms, landing pages, attribution — works out of the box in a way custom builds rarely justify rebuilding. More unusually, HubSpot publishes a full catalogue of its own technical limits, down to picklist values and association counts. Most vendors compared on this site do not. Being able to check a vendor's ceilings before you sign is worth real money.
Contacts, companies, deals and custom records as relational tables in PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM — foreign keys instead of a nine-association budget. A Next.js, React and TypeScript interface; a REST and GraphQL API with no daily cap; Payload CMS for marketing pages; RBAC, SSO and JWT sessions; Redis for queues; Vitest and Playwright in GitHub Actions. Hosted on Vercel or AWS in your own account — one CRM, and no hub multiplier.

On HubSpot CRM & Ops Hub, stacked on the $15,000 - $120,000+ / year base license.
Sales, Marketing, Service and Content are licensed separately, so suite adoption multiplies rather than adds. HubSpot also caps a single account at 2,500 users and 100 domains.

HubSpot allows 250,000 API calls per day on Free and Starter, 650,000 on Professional and 1,000,000 on Enterprise. Each API Limit Increase pack is $500 per month for another 1,000,000 calls per day and a rate limit of 250 requests per 10 seconds.
Drag the team-size slider to model SaaS licensing spend against a fixed-cost custom build — implementation, hosting, and 3-year TCO update in real time.
Staying on per-seat licensing costs you $4,365 every month at 50 seats — spend that never converts into owned IP.
Export contacts, companies, deals, and activities via HubSpot API.
Design normalized PostgreSQL schema to replace custom objects.
Recreate HubSpot workflows and sequences as Next.js automation pipelines.
Final sync and DNS switch.
When one hub becomes three. HubSpot licenses Sales, Marketing, Service and Content separately, so suite pricing multiplies rather than adds, and marketing pricing scales with contact count. Add an API Limit Increase at $500 a month and the annual figure moves again. Replacing HubSpot with a custom CRM on PostgreSQL tends to make sense when you are paying for hubs whose overlap you cannot actually use.
Sometimes, and HubSpot publishes the number so you can check before committing: 9 defined associations between each custom object type and other object types, plus 1,000 values per picklist property. If your domain is orders, shipments and serial numbers with deep relationships, you will meet that boundary early. A relational PostgreSQL schema with Drizzle ORM has no association budget, and foreign keys enforce relationships instead of a HubSpot platform convention.
Yes. Contacts, companies, deals, tickets, activities and custom objects export through HubSpot's APIs, and the associations between them come across too. We normalise the result into PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM, rebuild HubSpot workflows and sequences as TypeScript automation, then cut over on a weekend after a parallel run. 1 week for the export, 2 for schema design and 3 for porting integrations is a realistic shape for a mid-size HubSpot portal.
Marketing-led teams that use the marketing hub properly — email, landing pages, forms and attribution in one place is genuinely hard to rebuild and rarely worth rebuilding. HubSpot also publishes its own limits, which makes it easier to plan against than most vendors. Move off HubSpot when the hub multiplier, contact-tier pricing or the API ceiling is deciding your CRM architecture instead of your requirements.
Every figure below was read from the vendor’s own published page on 2 August 2026. Vendor terms change without notice — follow the link and check the number yourself before you decide anything on it. Whatever we could not source that way is not on this page.

Each API Limit Increase pack is $500 per month, adds 1,000,000 calls per day and raises the rate limit to 250 requests per 10 seconds. Without it, Professional and Enterprise are limited to 190 requests per 10 seconds, and Free and Starter to 100.
HubSpot allows 9 defined associations between each custom object type and other object types, 1,000 values per picklist property and 3,000,000 app object records per account.
2,500 users per account, 100 domains per account, 1,000,000 HubDB rows and 100 serverless function endpoints. Useful numbers to hold against your five-year plan rather than your current one.
HubSpot states that "workflows exports don't include performance data or the workflow's history". The automation itself — the enrolment rules and branches your operations team has tuned for years — leaves HubSpot as something to be read and rebuilt, not as data another system can import. Budget that rebuild explicitly rather than meeting it in cutover week.
