The Engineers
You own your tech. We engineer the path.
Mid-market companies bleed thousands monthly on generic software that enforces rigid workflows and creates deep technical debt. We engineer a high-velocity alternative: fully custom, audit-ready systems that you own and control completely.
Custom ERP engineering, in one paragraph
ERPStack is an engineering-led practice that builds custom ERP, CRM and B2B software systems clients own outright. Code over configuration: every system is written in TypeScript rather than assembled in a low-code platform. SOC 2-ready delivery: audit controls sit in the database schema from commit 1, not bolted on before an assessment. Zero lock-in: the code, the PostgreSQL database and the Terraform infrastructure all live in your own cloud account, so the system keeps running whatever happens to us.
Engineering over configuration
- SOC 2 ✓
DevSecOps & Threat Modeling
We integrate Arcjet web application firewalls, Semgrep SAST static analysis, and automated OWASP ZAP penetration tests directly into your GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. Security is enforced on every single pull request, not left to annual third-party audits.
- SOC 2 ✓HIPAA ✓
Built-In SOC 2 & HIPAA Controls
Regulatory requirements are codified directly in your database schemas and service layers from commit one. We implement Row-Level Security (RLS) policies, AES-256 column encryption, and FHIR v4 API integrations to ensure you pass procurement audits instantly.
Strict Type-Safe Integrity
We enforce 100% concrete types with zero 'any' casts across the full stack. Our data validation pipelines utilize Zod schemas to guarantee boundary safety, with more than 80% unit, integration, and E2E (Playwright) test coverage verified in CI before deployment.
Multi-Region Cloud (IaC)
We build resilient, active-active configurations utilizing Terraform to automate deployments across AWS and Azure VPC enclaves. Our systems incorporate PgBouncer pooling, global Edge middleware routing, and automated multi-region failover structures.
Source Code Escrow Contracts
We protect your operational continuity with independent software escrow agreements. If we ever fail to support you, the complete, buildable source code, documentation, and IaC scripts are legally released from escrow custody directly to your engineering team.
Bespoke Database Schema Mapping
We never force your operational model into rigid SaaS standard fields. Your data structures are designed to match your exact business logic using native relational entities, ensuring optimal query optimization and indexing under high transactional volume.

Our Architectural Evolution
Legacy Monoliths
We started as systems architects rescuing failed enterprise ERP installations that ran millions over budget due to the structural rigidity of proprietary monolith configurations.
Decoupled Architectures
We pioneered progressive monolith refactoring, replacing tightly coupled subsystems with serverless APIs using the Strangler Fig pattern to eliminate downtime.
Custom Next.js
We standardized on modern, typed technologies including Next.js, Drizzle ORM, and Edge middleware to achieve extreme performance, scale, and compliance by default.
Zero Lock-In
Today, we deliver fully bespoke operational foundations that enterprise teams own completely, breaking the cycle of recurring software seat taxation.
Tested in production
We engineer mission-critical systems for highly regulated industries, from real-time FinTech fraud detection to HIPAA-ready healthcare portals.

What is ERPStack?
ERPStack is an engineering-led software practice that builds custom ERP, CRM and B2B systems clients own outright. Founded in 2020 by Vivek Mishra, it replaces per-seat SaaS suites with bespoke systems written in TypeScript on Next.js 16, React 19 and PostgreSQL with Drizzle ORM, deployed by Terraform into the client’s own AWS or Microsoft Azure account. Engagements run 6 to 24 weeks on fixed-price milestones between $25,000 and $250,000, and the source code, database schema and infrastructure are licensed to the client from commit 1.
Who runs ERPStack?
ERPStack is founder-led. Vivek Mishra founded the practice in 2020 and works as lead engineer and architect on the engagements it takes, so the person who scopes your system is the person who designs it. ERPStack publishes no headcount, because a number nobody outside the company can verify is worth less than no number at all. What is checkable is the work: the ERP and CRM architectures documented on this site, the 6 reference builds, and the code sitting in your own repository from day 1.
Where is ERPStack based, and can it work with clients elsewhere?
ERPStack is a remote-first practice with no public office, and delivers to clients across the United States, United Kingdom, European Union and India. There is no client-facing office and no local branch anywhere: one remote engineering team runs discovery, delivery and support over video calls, shared repositories and your own cloud accounts. Deployment regions on AWS or Microsoft Azure are chosen for your data-residency obligations rather than ours — eu-west-2 for UK data, eu-central-1 for the EU, us-east-1 or ap-south-1 elsewhere.
Does ERPStack hold SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA certification?
No, and ERPStack says so plainly rather than implying otherwise. It holds 0 third-party certifications and issues no attestation of its own. What it does is engineer client systems to satisfy SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 control baselines — immutable audit trails, RBAC, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit and automated evidence collection — so your own auditor has something real to examine. The audit is yours, under your scope.
What does ERPStack deliberately not do?
ERPStack does not build on low-code platforms such as Zoho Creator, does not resell Odoo or NetSuite licences, and does not place engineers into someone else’s team as staff augmentation. It also declines work where an off-the-shelf suite already fits: below roughly 25 seats, or where a standard mid-market product needs no modification, the packaged option is cheaper across 3 years and ERPStack will say so. Custom earns its price when licence spend compounds with headcount, or the process is the thing templates cannot do.
How does an ERPStack engagement run, from first call to handover?
Every ERPStack engagement opens with a free 30-minute architecture audit and a written technical brief within 48 hours. If you proceed, Milestone One is Discovery and Architecture — 1 to 2 weeks producing an entity-relationship diagram, a data-residency design, an integration specification covering every REST and GraphQL contract, and a costed build plan — and it is refundable in full for 14 days. Delivery then runs in 2-week sprints against fixed-price milestones, invoiced Net-30 once you accept each one in staging, and closes with code handover and 3 training workshops.
